"Register" is about letting business owners and their staff get on with their core activities while providing a safe, convenient and very easy to use registration process for their patrons and visitors.
Register was inspired during a winery tour in Queensland's picturesque Stanthorpe region following the initial lock-down period. Government requirements around registration of visitors had just been put in place and our hosts, the vignerons, were spending more time signing their customers in than demonstrating their fine wines. The time taken to register a party also led to long queues and impacted time spent actually tasting the wines. Moreover, everyone was touching the same pen and paper!
Register is a solution to these issues, providing touchless registration options for anyone with a smart-phone capable of connecting to the internet (pretty much everyone these days.)
In the unfortunate event that tracing is required, the high quality data can be access by those who need it much more efficiently and effectively than had it been written down on paper. Time is of the essence in these circumstances and processes that may take days to perform can be achieved in hours, or even minutes.
Businesses provide a list of 'Sites' they want to register visitors to. Each site gets is own unique 'QR' code.
These QR codes are displayed in the vicinity of the registration Sites. This can be at the front door, a foyer, within conference rooms, individual tables etc.
Anyone attending those locations can scan the QR using the camera in their phones. The latest generations of smart-phones will automatically detect the QR code and offer to take them to the link encoded in the image. This can also be done using free QR scanning apps from Apple and Google's app stores.
Alternatively, the visitor can enter a very short URL,'2visit.me', in their browser and enter the eight character code displayed underneath the QR code; no scanning or QR software required.
As part of the standard offering, a sign-in sheet is also provided in image form (.PNG) which can be printed off and contains both the QR code and a table for people to sign in if they can't do so electronically.
Every evening at 9pm AEST a summary of visitors for that day is provided via email to the hosts in both Excel and CSV formats. In the event that contact tracing is required, the files can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.
That will depend on the nature of your business. In the examples above, the vignerons would need just one or two if they have separate areas their visitors can attend.
Very large host organisations may want many more if they are logging attendances in specific business locations such as conference rooms, individual tables, eating areas etc. There is no limit to the number of Sites than can be used.
No. In the event that contact tracing is required, the role of contacting individuals will be left to the appropriate authorities to perform. We anticipate that the digital nature of the data provided by the "Register" process will greatly facilitate that process though.
Businesses are encouraged to review the pricing options available to them at 2visit.me/pricing
There are four different packages available starting from just $AU10 per month (+GST). Significant discounts are available for a yearly subscription.
The pricing page will take you to the sign-up form, and you can follow the process from there.
A QR code is just like a barcode, but is able to encode much more information than the barcodes you're used to seeing. We use them to encode the website address and code specific to the Site.

Depending on how many Sites you have, you can either enter them during your sign-up process (20 Sites or less) or provide the data in an Excel or CSV file (more than 20 Sites). Once we've processed them, we'll send you the associated QR codes using the email address provided during sign-up.
Yes. The sign-in form and QR codes are are provided as a starting point to get you going. Along with the form we'll send you 4 image files of differing sizes that you can use in your own publishing software. The files are in common, standard formats (.PNG and .EPS) and so should be able to be integrated into all common publishing solutions including MS Word. The file-names themselves are labelled with the name of the Site (and code) they refer to so as to make identifying them simple.
The QR codes are encoded using high levels of redundancy which means that you can place your own logo in the centre without impacting your visitors' ability to scan them. Be sure to test them before displaying though - there are limits to the redundancy!
Yes. Right now this will be done by emailing the support team using the address provided after sign-up. We will be implementing a 'self-service' option very soon.
Very. All data sent between the visitor's phones and our servers is encrypted using the same 'public key' infrastructure used by banks and other financial institutions (think that little padlock you see in your browser).
The disks on which the data is stored are hosted on Amazon Web Services and are also encrypted.
Our email server will use encrypted protocols if the recipient email server supports it.
Our payment services provider PayPal also encrypts the payment process.

Suprisingly, yes - and they're quite exceptional too. #1 place to visit is Pyramid Roads, and if you're after a beer, try the Brass Monkey Brewery. (Tell Ernie Isaac said "Hi")
